Having grown up in Kabul amidst war and violence, I have always been aiming to acquire a good education and to participate in gaining Islam the respect it deserves in the western hemisphere. As a result of my endeavors in the shadows of this goal, I was awarded scholarship to go to high school in the States – Currently, I am a sophomore at Mount Holyoke, intending to major in International Relations. Music is my passion and playing sports is the only thing that enables me to take in nature’s rich energy.

Salaam everyone! My name is Anqa and I’m a biology and film studies double major at MHC. I am serving as this year’s multifaith representative and aside from that, am a co-founder of Planned Parenthood Generation Action on campus, work on the MERT squad, volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, and am trying to become fluent in Spanish on my own. I’m really excited to work on the MSA board for a second year and can’t wait for what we come up with together!
